2016 Walk to Cure Arthritis-Nashville

The Walk to Cure Arthritis is the Arthritis Foundation’s nationwide signature event supporting our mission to conquer arthritis by spreading awareness and raising critical funds needed for patient outreach and research to find a cure for the #1 cause of disability in the United States. The event features a three-mile/one-mile course, where arthritis information and activities are available to everyone of all ages. We anticipate 750 walk participants who also enjoy bringing their dogs. In 2015 we raised over $130,000 and had over 500 participants. This year our fundraising target is $150,000.

The event takes place on Sunday, May 15th at the Centennial Park Bandshell from 1 to 4 p.m.

Prior to the event we need Set-up volunteers from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

During the event (12 to 3 p.m.) we are in need of volunteers to serve in several capacities: -Registration -Volunteer check-in -T-shirt and passport table -VIP Tent From 12:30 - 3:30 p.m., we need volunteers in the following areas: Kids Activity Area Refreshments Team Photos - oversees area VIP Parking From 1:30 - 3:30 PM: Water station

After the event we need Clean-up/ tear down volunteers from 3 to 5 p.m.

Prior to the event, we will email volunteers to get work station preferences.
