We need volunteers to help your community stop food waste and fight hunger by bringing excess food to homeless shelters. We provide all of the necessary materials, and you will be walking with a cart of excess food, which would have been thrown out by the restaurant, to the nearest homeless shelter.
This is a weekly commitment, for just one hour per week at 2:30PM. Volunteers can be of any age, size, race, etc because anyone and everyone can make a difference in reducing food waste and feeding the hungry!

Description
Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) is a nonprofit organization committed to fighting food insecurity and preventing wasted food. We have cultivated a network of dedicated food rescuers who bring food directly from our food donors to nonprofit recipients, letting neighbors help neighbors while reaping the environmental and economic benefits of reducing wasted food. Founded in 2013, our simple, but elegant model has saved over 8 million pounds of food since our inception.
