The American Red Cross - Dallas Area Chapter is looking for volunteers to act as liaisons between the Red Cross and their government partners, relaying information in response to or preparation for local disasters.
As a Government Liaison, you will be active between disaster response operations working to promote, develop, and maintain productive relationships with government partners. During a disaster response, you will facilitate the transfer of valuable information between government agencies and the Red Cross.
Job duties may include:- Participating in, or assisting with the planning of local emergency management drills/exercises.
- Attending and participating in meetings with external partners to gather & share information.
- Serving in the Emergency Operations Center during a disaster response operation, relaying information between the Red Cross and our government partners.
Government Liaisons are required to be available for shifts during disaster response operations, and are also encouraged to participate in activities between disaster operations.
