Duties in the Flower and Maill Room include:
* Receiving unsorted mail each afternoon.
* Sort business mail, physician mail, patient mail in various mail slots, baskets and mail carts.
* Deliver mail to appropriate departments.
* Accept and deliver patient and employee flowers/cards/gifts.
* Answer telephone inquiries.
* Enter deliveries on daily log sheet.
* Assist with mailings and clerical projects as needed.
Open shifts: Wednesday and Friday from 12 to 4 PM.

Description
Ascension Alexian Brothers Volunteer Program plays a critical role in assisting and supporting various departments within the Medical Center.
Our Volunteers
A talented and generous group of adults and students volunteer at Ascension Alexian Brothers each year and make a difference in the lives of our patients, their friends, families, and our staff. They are active in the customer service areas, provide exceptional office and clerical support, assist on nursing floors and outpatient care departments, and participate in the weekly sewing workshop where a group assembles to craft baby hats and stuffed animals for the women, infant, and emergency room units.
