Volunteer Graphic Designer will create original content for marketing utilized in both print and online. Designer will conceptualize, design, and create mock-ups from small enhancements to entirely new designs. This position helps to extend the resources of the Mission of Yahweh in order to better assist and meet the needs of our residents and community.
Volunteer Duties Include:
-Design clear, engaging graphic communications for print and the web. This will/may include logos, direct mail pieces, branded promotional items, website and social media graphics, posters, flyers, and other marketing materials as needed.
Familiarity in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and Photoshop a HUGE plus.
* Ability to work independently as well as in partnership with a team
* Ability to define and work to deadlines
* Be self-directed and willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
* Respect and maintain confidentiality of Mission of Yahweh for our volunteers, families, and donors.

We are a faith-based shelter located in Houston, Texas that empowers, enriches and restores the lives of homeless women and children and provides outreach services to low income families in our neighborhood.
Description
The Mission of Yahweh has served homeless women and their children since 1961. The doors are always open for families in crisis. We are a truly unique refuge that not only gives food, clothing and shelter, but also is committed to helping residents to become self-sufficient, productive members of society. The Mission supports more than 3,000 residential stays each month. We also provide thousands of Houston/Carverdale-area residents with donations of food, clothing, school supplies and other necessities.
