Spend your VOLUNTEER time with needle and thread and in the comfort of your own home. Share a litle compassion and use your sewing skills to lift the spirit of someone who has recently suffered the loss of a loved one.

VITAS Healthcare is seeking volunteers to sew Memory Bears or Memory Pillows...a comforting companion during a time of sadness and loneliness, using a favorite flannel shirt, a fluffy robe, a pair of worn-out jeans or pressed uniform-with easy to follow pattern. VITAS patients' favorite items can be transformed into a precious memory for caregivers and other family members. You becoming a Memory bear seamstress with VITAS will allow you to deliver love, joy and lots of smiles to the bereaved.
