Volunteer coaches will assist the Head coach in training Special Olympics athletes in the Las Vegas area. Athletes will train in events such as 100M, 200M, shot put, long jump, etc.
As a volunteer you do not need knowledge of the T & F, but we look for positive energy. The head coach will give assistant coaches direction during practices. All volunteers must fill out a volunteer application which can be found on our website www.SONV.org
And as part of coaching the Las Vegas athletes, there will be a Regional competition and a state competition. The state competition is held in Reno, NV. Special Olympics Nevada provides the transportation and housing for all athletes and coaches.
