We will start at 9 AM and finish at 11 AM. Help us clean up the beach at Huntington Beach near the River Jetties in Newport Beach. Enter at Brookhurst and tell the gate guard you are there to cleanup by tower 2. They will let you in free. We provide all of the bags and gloves. If you are under the age of 18 years old please bring a waiver signed by your parent/guardian. You will find the waiver to print out at our web site at http://newportbeach.surfrider.org click on the beach cleanup tab at the top of the page and you will find the waiver to print and bring with you. If you need to call or text me for any reason my phone number is 714-623-1760. Please let us know if you are leading a group of 20 or more.
Thanks

Mission Statement
The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education
Description
Surfrider Strategic Initiatives
The core activities and campaigns that the Surfrider Foundation uses to protect our oceans, waves and beaches fall into the categories of Clean Water, Beach Access, Beach Preservation and Protecting Special Places. Through conservation like using a reusable shopping bag instead of a single use plastic bag and a thermos instead of a single use plastic cup or bottle we help reduce waste that inevitably ends up in a landfill or worse the ocean. Through Activism like sharing conservation programs with others, our mission grows and takes new life. Through Research like with our water test programs we keep knowledgeable about the current state of the beach and its health. Through education we make others aware of the important work that needs to be done in order to keep the Beaches healthy and accessible. It's not all about surfing. It's about keeping the environment healthy so that the surf will still be there for tomorrow.
