Best Buddies International is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our programs help people with IDD form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communication skills, and feel valued by society.

We are hosting our annual Champion of the year Gala - an awards gala celebrating the culmination of eight -week philanthropic competition between 15 of Tampa's community leaders who have worked tirelessly to raise funds for Best Buddies International.
Our "1970/studio 54" themed event will be held at the Renaissance International Hotel in Tampa. on Nov 1, 2019 at 7 pm.

We are looking for volunteers to help with setting up , auction, registration and other tasks. We are expecting around 400 supporters and participating businesses to be in attendance at our event.

Volunteers are needed to help with.
Decoration & Set up shift ( 9am-2pm )
Registration : Greet guests, check them in , give them their name tag and a program.(6pm-8:30 pm )
Hosts : Greet visitors at the entrance , you will be the first line of contact to our guests. ( 6:30 pm-8:30 pm )
Seating Hosts : Direct guests to their seats and tables (7 pm- 8:30 pm)
Live Auction and silent auction monitors, and check out. ( 7pm-10 pm)

Our event begins at 7pm for our guests but we are asking volunteers to come at 6 pm to help with final set up and to go over logistics!
