ORGANIZATION: Pathway Caring for Children

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 4 people are interested

Pathway Caring for Children is looking for an individual or small group to purchase, prepare and deliver a breakfast meal for 7-15 adoptive mothers who attend Pathway’s support group monthly. The adoptive mothers meet the second Saturday of each month from 9:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Pathway’s Canton office. This group is facilitated by a Pathway staff to help adoptive and kinship mothers connect on common joys and challenges, learn new strategies for parenting children from hard beginnings and provide emotional support for each other.

The breakfast meal is a way for us to appreciate this cohesive group of women who give of themselves each day as they parent children from hard places. The meal would need to be delivered to Pathway at 9:30 a.m. Plates, napkins and plastic silverware will be provided by Pathway. The meal does not need to be fancy! Bagels, muffins, egg/meat casserole, sausage, orange juice, etc. are some ideas.

Mission Statement

Pathway Caring for Children's mission is to help children and families realize the possibilities of their lives through foster care, adoption, and mental health.

Description

Jim and Velma Bridges founded Pathway Caring for Children in 1973. We have grown from our humble beginnings as one group home for f our boys to a full-service agency meeting the foster care, adoption, and mental health needs of over 1000 children and their families. In 2023, Pathway is celebrating a half-century of serving vulnerable children and families in Northeast Ohio. Our anniversary theme is "Here’s to 50 More" as we look to the future to continue to provide vital services in our community.
