It's never too late to help an adult learn to read and write. Or to speak and understand English.
Our training sessions start Saturday afternoon at the Montclair Public Library in Montclair, NJ. Literacy Volunteers of America, Essex and Passaic Counties, will provide 18-hours of training and grant certification as a tutor of Basic Literacy and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). After training you tutor for two hours, once per week. Help an adult improve his or her life by sharing your gift of literacy.
