PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The purpose of the Communications & Marketing Volunteer is to provide public affairs support to the Regional Communications Officer within their local chapters.
OPEN TIME DAYS
The time commitment is approximately 10 to 20 hours a week. During disasters, the time commitment will increase to as much as full-time or beyond. The time commitment will include some evenings and weekends as dictated by the responsibilities of the position.
REQUIRED TRAININGRed Cross general orientation on the history, mission, principles, values, and programs and services. Disaster Public Affairs training also recommended.
