Affinis Hospice volunteers add more life to each day for our patients by providing companionship and for caregivers through short-term respite. No experience required, just an open heart and a willingness to help. Times are flexible and can be 30 min - 1 hour weekly or 2 - 4 hours at a time a few times a month. Process reuires application, interview, fingerprinting, health and drug screen - all at our expnense, nbot the volunteer's. Comprehensive training provided.

Currently seeking volunteers in the Fayette and Coweta County area.

Volunteers are the heart of hospice.

Description

At Affinis Hospice, comfort, care and support of terminally ill patients and their families is the foundation of our personalized approach to health care. Individualized care provided by a collaborative team of medical personnel, members of the clergy, and local volunteers, is designed to meet the varied needs of both the patient and their family members.

Affinis Hospice provides prompt, courteous service, including same day referrals and admissions. We welcome any patient with a qualifying hospice diagnosis. Hospice care is a covered benefit under Medicare, Medicaid and many private health insurance plans. As a non-profit organization, Affinis accepts any patient regardless of their ability to pay.

Thirteen counties are covered by the Affinis Hospice Newnan office; however, Affinis covers most of the state of Georgia.
