Starting in March, we will be starting our community garden back up. Currently our area is in a food desert. There is no fresh and affordable food in a mile distance since our local grocery store closed down. Our community garden is going to be very important for residents in our area. We are looking for volunteers to help with the garden. Please contact me if you are interested at Holly@fletcherplacecc.org.

About Fletcher Place Community Center
Location:
P.O. Box 825, Indianapolis, IN 46206, US
Mission Statement
"Breaking the Cycle of Poverty through the Compassion of Jesus Christ"
Description
WE provide over 65,000 meals a year through a hot meal program and through groceries provided to families. Our goal is to build relationships in the community we serve, to build people up, to provide opportunities to build skills and achieve dreams.
We do this through community meals, providing a free clothing store and food pantry yet also through our hiring practices, a Garden Project, free preschool and youth art programs.
WE are Faith Based with our roots in the United Methodist Tradition. Our meals are provided by individuals, families, faith groups and businesses. Each meal is a special offering to our neighbors that are hungry for food and for good conversation.
Volunteers provide over 11,000 hours of service each year helping us meet the need.
