General Library Volunteer
Keeping the library in great shape!

Looking for something fun to do SATURDAY afternoons? How about volunteering your time and talent at The South Natomas Library? This is a great way for you to learn about what goes on behind the scenes at the library! If you are highly organized, enjoy working on a wide variety of activities, meeting and interacting with a great group of people, we've got a great opportunity for you!

You will learn about library operations and will help shelve and keep materials in good order, assist with programs, water and care for our plants, organize materials on carts and assist library staff with other activities.

The position requires an ability to walk, stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods of time, ability to push a fully loaded book cart, visual acuity to read labels and receipts, and ability to put library materials (book, DVDs, magazines) in correct alphabetical and numerical order.

We're looking for volunteer assistance any time after 1:00PM on Saturdays. Specific 2 hour segment to be determined at time of orientation and training.
