If you have a loud voice, outgoing personality and sturdy legs, this is the volunteer opportunity for you! Join us at the Lehigh Valley Phantom's game on February 12th and help raise money for The Salvation Army Children's Services by selling pucks for the Phantoms's "Chuck-A-Puck" program! Volunteers will sell pucks ($1 for 1, or 7 for $5) to game attendees before and during the game. At the end of the game, everyone who purchased pucks will throw the pucks onto the ice into special buckets, whoever lands their puck in the bucket will win a prize!
All proceeds from the sale of the pucks comes to our program which provides for the special care of children who are removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect and trauma.
*Note: pucks will be sold inside the stadium during the games, so you'll need to wear comfortable shoes/sneakers and be able to walk up and down the steps to ask attendees to purchase a puck.

Description
The Salvation Army Foster Care Program provides for the temporary care for children and youth who are unable to remain in their own homes and are placed in the custody of the county children and youth agencies. The children are placed with foster parents, who are committed to providing a safe, temporary home for children who have been abused and neglected and are unable to remain living in their own homes. The program serves children Lehigh, Northampton, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery and Berks Counties. The Adoption Program provides services to potential adoptive families and children through the Statewide Adoption Network (SWAN) and also provides services for private adoption home studies. Many of the referrals are for children within our own foster care program that become available for adoption and are adopted by their foster parents.
