Promoting Health equity for children with or at risk for disabilities.

Be a part of a rewarding volunteer experience in Innovative Solutions for Disadvantage & Disability’s (ISDD) Healthcare Without Walls program. You’ll help provide quality medical services at Wednesday afternoon clinics (every other Wednesday) from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm for children who have experienced homelessness and other instabilities. Services include well- and minor acute healthcare, referrals and prescriptions. Children are clients of Mary Hall Freedom House. This is a very rewarding population to work with!

Qualifications:

Unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Georgia.


Commitment:

One 3-hour clinic every other Wednesday afternoon in the Roswell area. Scheduling and intake are managed by ISDD staff.

The mission of Innovative Solutions for Disadvantage & Disability is to empower, educate and equip kinship caregivers of disadvantaged relative children in Metro Atlanta.

Description

Project GRANDD is the largest kinship caregiver program in the the Atlanta Metro Area, the only program serving the entire metro area and the only caregiver program in Georgia providing supportive services to grandparents raising grandchildren with developmental disabilities, chronic health conditions and learning and behavior disorders. Project GRANDD provides support groups, case management, training, education and referrals to support stable, safe and loving families. All services are provided at no charge.
