Volunteers have the opportunity to engage our guests through an enchanting mix of music and storytelling. Volunteers will have the option to sign up to play the theater organ in sync with our story book reading. Our organ stories series is a program where we read a twenty five minute story to school children on Wednesdays from 10am to 12:30pm.
The Museum is looking for volunteers who have experience playing either a piano or organ (either church or theater) to help with our Wednesday story organ series. We will train volunteers on the various stops to play during the stories. The Museum has been offering story time for over 15 years and schools come back year after year to hear the mix of organ and storytelling. If you would like to learn more or are interested in volunteering on Wednesdays as an organist, please call our volunteer manager at 616.929.1717
