Monthly Stand-In Coordinator for Meals on Wheels

On the 1st Wednesday of every month our Meals on Wheel Site Directors and Coordinators have a monthly meeting. Our coordinator at North Seal Beach is looking for a volunteer Stand-In Site Coordinator to pack food delivered from the main office in coolers, which are then delivered to our clients. We will need a volunteer from 8:30 am - 10:30 am. Our site coordinator will provide adequate training and we request the volunteer come every 1st Wednesday. This is a great opportunity for someone who has experience managing projects and is achievement-oriented. You will be dispersing the meals between the coolers that our volunteer drivers will then deliver to our homebound seniors. Our Meals on Wheels clients are some of the most invisible people in our communities because they lack the mobility to leave their house. Due to illness or disability they cannot get to the grocery store or cook for themselves.

The goal of our Site Director's meeting is to resolve internal program issues, connect with our kitchen staff to discuss what meals our clients like and dislike, and provide a time to discuss new ideas between sites. The duties of the volunteer Stand-In Site Coordinator are relatively easy and very fulfilling. The impact you'll make will truly help our Meals-On-Wheels program thrive.
