ORGANIZATION: National MS Society

The 1st Annual TejasFitness Challenge will take place at Retama Park on Saturday, April 30, 2016. This is a unique race. To compete you must have strength, speed, and endurance. The events include rowing, lifting weights, and running. You will move from one event to the next in heats of 12. The fastest total time wins! You can compete as an individual by age group or on a team.

A portion of all proceeds go the National MS Society!

We are in need of volunteers to:

+hand out water bottles throughout the course

+man a hydration station

+assist with site tear down and cleanup

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS..

The South Central Region, headquartered in Houston, TX is made up of five states: Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas, and New Mexico.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to join the movement is at the very core of our organization.

We engage volunteers at every level. Join an event committee, volunteer at a walk or bike event, advocate at the capitol, volunteer at our office, no matter how you choose to contribute, you are doing something about MS now!

The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.

We are always looking for volunteers who want to share their time and talent to help stop MS!
