Volunteer Coordinator(s)

We are currently looking for one or two volunteers to run our volunteer program. We are an all-volunteer organization and most of our programming is during the summer, so we'd like to get our coordinators started now to prepare for the summer.

The Coordinators are responsible for organizing and directing the volunteers, in cooperation with the board of directors. Coordinators will also track volunteer hours for grant reporting.

Essential Functions

• Organize, coordinate, and manage volunteer recruitment.
• Coordinate volunteer coverage for events (i.e. manage sign-up forms online)
• Whenever possible, attend events and supervise volunteers, with assistance from the board.
• Maintain records on volunteer work hours.
• Work with IT volunteer to do a volunteer newsletter every two months.
• Plan end-of-summer volunteer recognition event.

Our theatre is a summer-only facility, so we do not have an office in the theatre and most work will be done from home. (Except when working at events during the summer.) We need Coordinators who are self-motivated and can show initiative with minimal supervision.
