Children Across America is currently seeking a skilled, experienced and energetic Business Development Director to work with our marketing team to find funding for our children's literacy and preventative healthcare programs.

Children Across America, a humanitarian organization, provides preventive healthcare, literacy and math programs to under-served children in the United States free of charge. Our vision is to empower families and children in low-income communities through education. Our unique programs are focused on improving children’s literacy, drive educational excellence and develop healthy lifestyles.

Children Across America main focus is Literacy and STEM programs. We need a business development director to help the organization partner with corporate America and businesses to sponsor and work with us to raise funds.

Examples are reaching out to retail stores to raise money per sale, donating a portion of proceeds on sales or certain services or products. Im sure you have been in a store where the cashier asked you to make a donation to an organization. Also, direct donations from Corporate America, creating partnerships such as corporate match of their employees donations. Your only limits are your imagination. Help us leverage our 501C3 status to its maximum potential.

Our organization is a 501C3 non-profit that partners with local healthcare advocates, pediatricians, hospitals, libraries and school systems to ensure children get the full benefit of its programs. To learn more, please visit www.childrenacrossamerica.org.


Key responsibilities:

  • Generate contacts with companies and Organizations
  • Work with marketing team and Executive Director
  • Find potentional donors/sponsors/partners
  • Use of strong influencing skills
  • Use of strong presentation skills
  • Track and log company contacts
  • Bring donations/sponsorship agreements and business partnerships for the upcoming project

Minimum Requirements:

  • Good communication skills, written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong PC skills, including use of MS Office, Powerpoint
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team
  • Must be able to determine priorities and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working on PC platform

There is a financial commitment of $25 per month or $300 one time annual donation for all board members.

Children Across America is a 501 (c)(3) (EIN 27-0355388), humanitarian organization. Children Across America provides literacy support and preventative healthcare to underserved children in the United States. Its vision is to empower families and children in low income communities. Its unique programs are focused on improving children’s educational excellence and health. The organization partners with local libraries, school systems healthcare advocates and hospitals to ensure children get the full benefit of its programs. We provide a free alternative program to underserved families with students in grades K-5, who can't afford a private tutor, or professional tutoring services such as Kaplan or Kumon.

Description

CAA has a combination of medical and educational programming.

Our main educational program is a STEM and Coding program for all children. We also focus on children K-5 grade that come from families that English is not their first language. Our Summer Reading and Math Club (Children's Book Club) and our Saturday Reading and Math club's goal is to raise the level of literacy in America's children. Our Math Clubs are to help develop children's basic math skills. We help all children but our main focus is the underserved population of America. Our signature program is our Summer STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club, that runs from July through August and our Saturday STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club that runs each Saturday.

Our main medical program and focus of our medical programming is Health Promotion in motion. This is a immunization and preventative healthcare initiative focused on making sure every child in America is immunized per CDC guidelines and has healthcare coverage. We are a vendor for the State for Mass healthcare signps.
