(August -May) Are you a college student looking to gain volunteer hours or a citizen looking for fun and interesting ways to positively interact and affect middle school children's lives? If so, Franklin Middle School needs your help and would love to have you as part of our "Franklin Family". We are currently looking for volunteers in all subject areas, including some after-school clubs and organizations (e.g. Spanish Homework Club, Science Olympiad, READY Program). The school day is from 8-2:50, and we appreciate volunteers who are able to stay long term, as this helps with building stronger relationships with our students and teachers. Please feel free to contact Kathy Thomas-Stagg, the volunteer coordinator for Franklin, at thomaska@u4sd.org or call at 217.351.3819. We look forward to hearing from you! **Please note that volunteers only working during the school year at Franklin. June-August dates are available at schools with summer school occurring only.

Description

ranklin is a school focused on Academic Excellence. We pride ourselves on establishing strong collaborative relationships between students, families and staff. The National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) and the MetLife Foundation recognized Franklin as a National Breakthrough School in 2011.
