Join Community Emergency Assistance Program (CEAP) Food Shelf in Blaine who serves families in all life stages to gain financial stability and maximize their ability to live independently with dignity.
Volunteers are essential to CEAP's mission! You can be involved in a variety of ways with on-site orientation provided for all the opportunities below:
Receptionists are needed to welcome clients, greet people, answer phones and assist staff with tasks. The schedule is flexible - you choose the shift you'd like to assist with either weekly, biweekly or monthly. Shifts available in the morning or afternoon. Immediate openings are on Tuesdays from 8:00 to 12:00.
Food Room volunteers provide a welcoming atmosphere for those visiting the food shelf and assist clients with food choices. This position involves some lifting and sorting food to ensure food safety and help keep the room organized. Volunteers choose between morning and afternoon shifts Monday -Thursday. You choose whether you'd like to volunteer once weekly, biweekly or monthly. Other positions within the food room stockers, checkers and food sorters.
Bring in the Dough! Join part of the bread driver team. Volunteers pick-up bread from bakeries in Anoka County and deliver them to CEAP once a week in the mornings. Job takes about an hour to complete. Volunteers would use their own vehicle. This opportunity is once weekly.
