This year's stream cleanup will take place at multiple locations around the watershed in Hunterdon, Somerset and Morris Counties. To register visit our stream cleanup page (http://www.raritanheadwaters.org/streamcleanup/) to find a stream cleanup site close to where you live, note down your preferred site number. The online registration has begun as of January 2016! Fill in your personal information and select your stream cleanup site from the drop down menu.

What to Bring. You are encouraged to bring your own reusable water bottle. Raritan Headwaters will provide trash bags, gloves, water and snacks!

What to Wear. This event is rain or shine, dress accordingly. No one is required to get into the stream. If you choose to pick litter on land wear a hat, sturdy boots or shoes, and long-sleeved shirts and pants for tick protection. Stream depth varies across our stream cleanup sites and changes with the weather so if you plan on getting into the stream come prepared with rubber boots or waders.

Logistics. On the morning of the cleanup you will be greeted by your site coordinator at the designated meeting location. The site coordinator will sign you in and provide you with trash bags, gloves, water and snacks. The site coordinator will orient you to the site and explain the area being cleaned up. When the stream cleanup is over please bring your trash bags to the designated drop off location.

Data Collection. This year Raritan Headwaters is asking you to collect data on number of plastic bags you cleanup. Data Sheets will be provided.

Social Media. On the day of the event, volunteers are encouraged to post pictures on instagram and facebook using the hashtag #RHACleanStreams
