MEND's Grow Together, garden program families receive a raised bed vegetable garden and attend Beginner Gardening Classes from Master Gardeners as means to lead healthier lifestyles. We need a Cooking Instructor to make the full circle and teach MEND garden porgram families how to pack fresh fruits and vegetables they are already growing in their meals.
We have access to food through our Food Bank and have one kitchen that can be used Wednesdays and evenings for the Cooking Classes. In the next couple of months a second kitchen will be completed allowing for more times in the day to host the cooking classes. Times to teach are flexibe and can work with volunteer to lock a couple, few or series of classes down!
