STEM Mentoring is an exciting, conservation-based mentoring program that brings together small groups of youth and mentors for fun, hands-on activities about science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Mentors will be matched with a group of four 6-to-9-year-old mentees and meet with them for one hour each week to implement a STEM-based curriculum. Mentors will guide youth through three interactive, multimedia modules over the course of one year, each lasting 8-12 weeks. BGCP staff will provide mentors with all program materials and curriculum as well as on-site support throughout the duration of the program.

Module 2: Quickball Math (June - August 2016)
Dates & Times TBD
In this action-packed module, provided in partnership with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation, mentors and mentees will practice fundamental math skills in connection with fun activities on the Quickball field.

Module 3: Endangered Species Adventure (September - November 2016)
Dates & Times TBD
Mentors and mentees will become conservation-minded citizens of the future as they learn about endangered species around the world and the daily choices they can make to protect the environment closer to home.
