As a non-profit organization the American Liver Foundation relies on the support of volunteers to keep moving forward in the fight against liver disease. The Liver Life Walk has a variety of volunteer options available.

Volunteers are needed to help out at all areas of the Liver Life Walk including: Registration, T-Shirt Tent, Water Stations, Route Monitors, Cheerleaders and more!

Wear comfortable shoes- a T-shirt will be provided.

The American Liver Foundation is a nonprofit, national voluntary health organization dedicated to the prevention, treatment, and cure of hepatitis and other liver diseases through research, education, and advocacy on behalf of those affected by or at risk of liver disease. Our mission is to facilitate, advocate and promte, education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver diseases.

Description

The Connecticut Division of the American Liver Foundation (ALF) is dedicated to addressing the needs of people in all counties within the state through education, advocacy and support. Our programs and services include support groups; information and referral; and educational seminars for patients and their families. In order to provide services and fund life-saving research, the Division hosts a variety of events and campaigns. These campaigns include our signature fund raising event; Flavors of Connecticut, Liver Life Walk, and our annual Memorial Golf Classic. Our educaitonal programs include the Love Your Liver Youth Education Program, Treatment Choices Initiative speakers bureau for those at risk or have Hepatitis C and many others.
