Doors of Change, also known as Photocharity has helped place over 1800 Homeless Youth in safe long term housing over the past 14 years. San Diego is #4 in the US for Homeless Youth. The Biggest Area of Need is Housing for 18-24 year olds. Last year we opened the DOC Housing program for Self Sufficiency. It is a 2 year program. We have Expandied on 1-26-16. We opened a 2nd home near SDSU for 4 youth!! Because of 24/7 coverage each youth costs $45,000/year/youth. This is LESS expensive then encarceration & they will be productive citizens after this program.
WE NEED YOUR HELP. Our Presidential Gala is April 30 at the Fairbanks Ranch Country Club and we need alot of help. The Chef has cooked for 5 US Presidents!! We only meet 1x/month for 75 minutes. If you can help 1- 2 hours/week from your home, we will help alot of homeless youth together.
Go to www.DoorsOfChange.org and watch the short video of Homeless Youth interviews. If you are touched RSVP for our 75 minute meeting in Del Mar. Dinner will be served.
Thank you for wanting to help. Jeffrey Sitcov, Founder
