Hospice is a special kind of caring that is person and family centered and seeks to provide support and comfort to those facing a life limiting illness.
Volunteers play a large role in this effort by sharing their skills and interests in a manner that enriches the quality of life for those they serve.
Hospice volunteers make up at least 5% of all direct care hours in hospice programs nationwide. The impact volunteers have on patients and families is immeasurable.
A pet therapy dog provides comfort and enriches the quality of life for our hospice patients and their families by making visits to them at their places of residence. Won't you and your furry friend join us in improving the lives of our hospice patients?!
