ORGANIZATION: Preservation Parks of Delaware County

  • 4 people are interested

Preservation Parks of Delaware County seeks volunteers to help maintain our native plant gardens. Garden Hands are needed at three park locations including Deer Haven Park, Hogback Ridge Park, and Shale Hollow Park. Garden hands are needed to help prune, rake, and especially weed our native plant gardens through the spring, summer and fall growing season. Volunteers can make their own schedules.

Prior plant knowledge is a plus, but is not necessary. Park staff will provide training on native plant identification, gardening methods, and proper use of tools and safety guidelines.

Becoming a Garden Hand is a great way to expand and grow not only flowers, but you too!
