It gives us immense pleasure to inform you that Turn Up for STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, Mathematics) Program, a Strong TIES STEM Program, is organizing a weekend for cultural innovation for our youth aged 13-18.

Mission Statement
Black Women in Computing (BWiC) is a community created to provide support and resources aimed at increasing the number of black women in computing-related fields.
Description
BWiC focuses on the following 4 goal areas:
- BWiC Presence
- Recruitment and Retention
- Online Resources
- Support System (Local & National)
BWiC maintains listservs and social networking forums to keep members informed, connected and supported by their peers. We host company-sponsored enrichment and networking events at the annual Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing Conference. We implement programming and gaming workshops to expose young minorities to computing and start them on the pathway to careers in STEM.
