Feel Beautiful Today helps bring love, hope, and encouragement to cancer patients through Arts in Health programs in GA. We deliver our programs at 14 local cancer centers.
We need 5 volunteers with the following skills:
Energetic, active, able to move around easily, some need to be able to use cell phones, great communications skills and love people, enjoy to help and help make an event successful. The task is to help with set up of the venue the day before April 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the day of the event.
The day of the event helping at our event April 17 from 9a.m. to 3p.m. Open to attend 2 hours training a week before to make sure you can share the right info with our guests at the event. This opportunity is perfect for an active group of friends, a group from a company that wants to support the efforts of a local organization that impacts cancer patients or small group that wants to give back to the community.

FBT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2010 to provide love, hope, and encouragement to cancer patients and survivors The organization is fully staffed by volunteers, which allows for more than 90% of the donations received to go toward delivering art programs at 12 beneficiaries-in-kind hospitals and cancer centers. Since the beginning, FBT has delivered its Arts in Health programs to more than 8,500 cancer patients and survivors in the metro Atlanta area. All our programs and workshops complement the cancer center and hospitals’ efforts to improve a patient’s overall Quality of Life (QoL). Each of our 9 programs is been created with the intention to support, help, encourage, inspire and help the patients' experiences by providing a shared moment, a reprieve from the constant worry and despair, an opportunity to value themselves and see themselves beautiful, a reminder that someone cares and by using creativity to enhance a sense of purpose and to strengthen their will.

Description
Feel Beautiful Today (FBT) uniquely uses the power of creativity to support women affected by cancer. The FBT foundation is a well established 501(c)(3) staffed by volunteers, skillfully guided by a diverse board of directors from the professional community, and partnered with many of the well known cancer treatment centers and hospitals in the metro Atlanta area. The organization is rooted in our understanding that recovery of physical health goes hand in hand with faith, a peaceful soul and a positive state of mind. The FBT mission is to provide hope, love and encouragement to women of all ages affected by cancer through Arts in Health programs. Each program takes a uniquely creative approach toward delivering the patient in crisis a critical boost in their overall well being. The programs remind them that they are much more than a body that is going through the physical changes due to treatment. We seek to assure them that they are not alone in their battle against cancer. By developing three programs that, separately and together, involve the patient and caregiver(s), the medical profession, and the community at large, FBT successfully delivers a positive message of hope, support, and emotional encouragement. Our activities deliberately complement the medical community’s effort to foster a positive healing environment for patients undergoing treatment.
