Circles Fresno, Inc, a chapter of Circles USA, believes that no one should live in poverty.
We are seeking for multiple volunteers with a variety of life skills. Allies make a difference in the lives of people who are motivated to "move up" out of poverty.
Tuesday, dinner meetings allow participants to develop relationships across social and economic classes. Classes and programs follow the dinner.
The key to our success is the guidance and intentional friendship of trained Allies and the support of the local community members, which includes you.
Circles Fresno works with motivated, stable, low-income people. Our model emphasizes:
- Goal setting and accountability.
- Taking personal responsibility for one’s own success.
- Giving 100% effort to your employer, profession or educational program.
- The joy of helping others and giving back to the community.

Mission Statement
Inspire and equip families and communities to resolve poverty and thrive by: (1) mentoring people to earn at least 200% of the Poverty Level; (2) helping 10% of people in poverty achieve their goals; (3): working to eliminate the "cliff effects" that prevent people from "moving up"
Description
Circles USA believes that no one should live in poverty and has developed a national program, with chapters in 23 states, to help families "move up". Circles offers unique support to make a difference in the lives of people who are motivated to move out of poverty.
Circles Fresno, Inc. became a non-profit chapter in October, 2015. and needs "Allies". Initially, Allies receive training to listen, support and mentor a person in poverty, called a "Leader". Leaders receive separate classes and will be matched with 2 Allies when the classes are completed. This generally requires 6-10 volunteer hours a month.
