Our Executive Director is seeking the assistance of a volunteer to implement scheduled grants to aid in the development and/or assist in training an internal volunteer. This opportunity will allow the right individual to assist in taking this organization's promising model to it's next level, ensuring that strategic planning goals are met by strengthening our infrastructure and participating in our ability to ultimately replicate this model in other geographic areas.
Job Description
- Write renewal grants
- Implement current grant development schedule
- Research new funder relationships
- Work closely with Mentor Center Coordinator to adhere to grant guidelines, collect and report data, and report directly to funders when necessary
- Work closely with Financial Manager to ensure grants are managed accurately
- Attend bi-monthly Development meetings
- Attend bi-monthly supervisory meetings with Executive Director

Description
The Mentor Center is founded on establishing voluntary associations of emotional kindness as the basis for mentor-mentee relationships in order to create a positive atmosphere for learning life skills. Mentoring in the life areas of: Budgeting, Education,Employment, Healthcare/Nutrition, Parenting, Social relationships, Life coping/satisfaction, By Teaching: Assessment of difficulties, Prioritizing actions, Developing plans of approach, Problem solving skills, Time management, Limit setting, Organizing, Through providing Guidance, Hands on assistance, Information on available resources, Referrals to appropriate agencies. What we do not offer: Monetary assistance, Professional counseling
