Enhance the patient experience by sharing reading material from the Pete Kallenberger library. Mr. Pete Kallenberger was the INTEGRIS volunteer responsible for creating and maintaining the library from inception in 2007 until 2015 when he retired from volunteering at the age of 93. Continue his legacy of supporting patients and guests by alleviating stress and boredom.

Maintain the library and spread awareness of this valuable service offered to patients and guests. Sort through donations received, catalog books, magazines and newspapers, filter through material to ensure appropriateness and accuracy, and continually organize shelves and maintain materials. Take book cart up to different clinical units and offer reading material to guests in the waiting room and/or patients. Take requests and try to deliver similar items to those requested.
