ORGANIZATION: Agora Cyber Charter School

  • 12 people are interested

The Agora Cyber Charter School serves a diverse group of more than 8000 students and families across Pennsylvania, including more than 3000 students in and around Philadelphia. For more than 10 years, Agora has helped students close achievement gaps, thrive in ways they may never have in their traditional brick and mortar school, and prepare for life as productive and engaged citizens - with nearly 5000 students over the past decade earning a diploma and going on to universities, community colleges, technical schools, military or other work. With more than 70% of our students from free or reduced lunch households and with more than 20% of students receiving Special Education support, Agora is truly making a difference in the lives and outcomes of students.

The Agora Board of Trustees anticipates two vacancies in the next 60 days and would like to add talented and committed individuals. Specific backgrounds and skills desired include any of: academia/instruction, finance and auditing, vendor management, human resources, information technology and legal.

The Board meets on the first Monday of each month. Board members generally attend in person in the school’s central office in King of Prussia; however, attendance by phone or online is also possible.

Interested candidates should submit an application through this website or by sending an email with your resume and brief motivational statement to Board President Mary Steffey at msteffey@agora.org.
