Y-Reads! is looking for reading mentor/tutors. Located just a short drive from Stuart, Okeechobee, and Jupiter Farms in Indiantown, FL.

Reading changes children’s lives. Learning to read opens young eyes and minds to a world full of possibilities. In a world with many troubles, though, some children fall behind their classmates at a very young age when it comes to literacy.

That’s where YMCA READS! comes into action. Our fre e,0 volunteer-driven program nourishes the minds of early elementary schoo lchildren who need the most help and sets them on a path for future learning. Whatever reason their abilities lag, whether due to problems at home or their own abilities, Y READS! uses proven, research-based tools to ignite the minds of these students whose teachers have said they are at risk for lifelong reading difficulties.
