ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Alabama Mississippi Region

Thank you for being interested in a life-saving volunteer opportunity with the American Red Cross. You will be transporting blood and blood products to Birmingham area hospitals in a safe and timely manner.

There are also separate opportunities to drive to outlying hospitals or be avaialable for stat or 'on-call' runs.

  • Preferred commitment is only one 4 hour route per week. There are day/night and weekend times available.
  • Commit to 3 months

REQUIRED TRAINING

  • Orientation to the American Red Cross
  • Defensive Driving course
  • Transportation Specialist Training
  • On the job training
