Volunteers are needed to assist St. James Social Service Corporation in sorting and organizing donations. Some of the tasks can include but are not limited to: receiving, sorting, and organizing clothing donations of all sizes (including youth and adult), breaking down boxes, and assisting staff in placing merchandise on organized displays shelves, This is a great opportunity for children (with adult supervision) and teens to earn volunteer hours and work independently while working together to make a change.
NEED-TO-KNOW:
Volunteer tasks can include but are not limited to:sorting through a collection of hangers, clean up/maintenance, organizing shelves and clothes for display, and assisting in the organization of incoming donations. Some heavy lifting may be required.
Volunteers will receive a brief orientation upon arrival.
Volunteers should wear clothes they feel comfortable working in.
