Global Water Dances is in need of a volunteer Grant Writer to help write and submit grant applications in pursuit of funding for the mission of GWD. This position will work closely with the Grants Team to coordinate work efforts, discuss funding strategy, and identify grants for which to apply based on information gathered by the Grants Researcher. GWD does not have a public office so work will generally be done virtually with bi-monthly face-to-face meetings with the Grants Team. GWD leadership utilizes a collaborative approach and values positive relationship as part of our working environment. The position hours will vary and are determined by the Grant Writer depending upon how many grant applications are accepted for completion. The position requires completion of accepted grant applications by funder-determined deadlines. Prior experience with successful grant writing * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines * Ability to attend bi-monthly Grants Team meetings (typically held Monday evenings 6pm CST) Responsibilities: * Write and submit grant applications on behalf of GWD * Communicate regularly with the Grants Team regarding opportunities identified, questions about applications, and funding strategies Persons of diverse backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
