Come Volunteers at the Houghs Neck Community Center and make Martin Luther King Day more than just a day off, the activities will consist of 4 mini service projects to benefit the community. Feel free to bring your friends and family.
1) Coat Drive;
2) Letters to Troops;
3) Valentines for Seniors along with Building An Herb Planter; and
4) Creating Birthday Goody Bags for Homeless Children.
The MLK Service Day will take place on January 18, 2016 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at the Houghs Neck Community Center, 1193 Sea Street, Quincy, MA.
This event will follow the South Shore YMCA Germantown Neighborhood Center Martin Luther King Jr. Community Breakfast which participants are encouraged to attend.

The Houghs Neck Community Council, provides programming to improve quality of life for youth, families, and seniors. Current programming supports healthy living, and social and civic connectedness through activities promoting nutrition, health and wellness, volunteer opportunities, and a sense of community.
Description
The Houghs Neck Community Center is a partnership between the City of Quincy’s Community Development Block Grant program dedicated to serving the community.
The center run low cost youth programs to provide opportunity to families in the City of Quincy. The Center also run a Senior lunch on Monday and Wednesday, bingo and scrabble to follow.
