Communities In Schools of Tacoma works to eliminate barriers to student success by creating a community of support to empower children to stay in school and achieve in life. We bring in outside resources like mentors, after school programs, and basic needs to help local children stay on track to graduate along with their peers.
We are looking for individuals to serve as math tutors at Sherman Elementary School on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:10-10:20 am.
One hour a week can make a difference in the life of a child.

Description
Communities In Schools is part of the 5th largest youth development organization in the country. We are the only ones proven to increase graduation rates AND decrease dropout rates.
We serve as the bridge between the student and the community, bringing in resources that help break down the barriers that students have to be successful in school.
