Volunteer for FLIPANY’s 10 th Annual Fun Run on January 9 th on the North Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. We anticipate this being the biggest year yet, with over 1,000 participants as well as some special guests (sports celebrities), all people who are striving to live healthy lives. FLIPANY is a local non-profit organization so all the funds raised stay right here in the tri-county area. Time - 5:00am - 10:00am Tasks - water station, registration, kids zone, paddleboard, awards/medals, flash mob, etc... The proceeds from the event go towards nutrition education, physical activity, and healthy snacks and meals for low-income, disadvantaged youth in South Florida. Purpose
The purpose of Eat Right. Get Moving. Repeat! and Operation Frontline is to provide long-term solutions to inactivity, hunger, and poor nutrition by teaching parents and children how to get moving, read recipes, and to select, purchase, and prepare healthy low-cost food for their families. These programs allow parents and children to prepare creative and fun meals together providing an automatic opportunity to interact and strengthen relationships.
