Servants’ Home Helps program provides repairs and maintenance services for low income older adults, disabled individuals and single parents who are in need financially in Lancaster and York, Pennsylvania. We build wheel chair ramps, replace rotting floors, restore bathrooms, install insulation, repair small electrical and plumbing issues, paint, perform carpentry tasks, etc. Our homeowners are living on less than $15,000 a year. This program, launched in 2007, empowers older adults and disabled individuals to live independently and safely in their home for as long as they choose. We are looking for volunteers to work on the home repairs and interact with the homeowners. No experience necessary.

Our Serving At-Risk Families program (SARF) in Guatemala currently provides 20 extremely poor families with education, job training, healthcare access, hygiene education, home repairs, counseling, and the knowledge to pass this onto their children and community to help get them to a place of stability and sustainability and end their poverty cycle. We are looking for those who want to go on 10-day mission trips to assist with home repairs, interacting with the families, and working in the communities where they reside. No experience necessary.
