Seeking to make a real impact in the fight against poverty? Volunteer with United Way of King County's Free Tax Campaign -- one of the largest Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Programs in the nation!
Last year, the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) helped bring 92,000 people above the poverty linein the state of Washington. Considered one of the best federal anti-poverty measures of all time, the EITC can allow families to send their kids to college, pay off debt, or fix their car in order to get to work. Our campaign helps thousands of struggling community members receive all the credits they're eligible for, including the EITC, at absolutely no cost.
