Come out to River Bend Nature Center on the third Wednesday of each month to try your hand at landscape restoration. River Bend Nature Center has teamed up with Cheryl Culbreth from Landscape Restoration Inc. to restore some of the 743 acres of the River Bend Nature Center property. Meet at the Interpretive Center for a short discussion on the topic of the month such as buckthorn removal, wild parsnip or garlic mustard eradication, and more. Then join us as we teach you restoration first hand. Those that attend will leave the Restoration Club with a general knowledge of how to treat invasive species on their property to help restore their property to its native habitat.

Description
River Bend Nature Center is a member-supported 743-acre nature and environmental learning center located in Faribault, Minnesota which is about 40 miles south of the Twin Cities metro area on I-35. We seek to help people of all ages discover and connect with the natural world so they will understand its value in their lives, and work to conserve the natural world for current and future generations.
Our beautiful acreage contains diverse habitats including ponds, forest, restored prairie, sandstone quarries, and the Straight River, making for infinite possibilities for exploration.
