ORGANIZATION: The Community Builder

We believe everyone has a skill or talent that they are great at. Are goal is to give individuals an opportunity to make a difference doing what they do best. Neighbors helping neighbors building stronger communities.


The Community Builder is a team of all volunteers and we are looking for dedicated individuals who want to be a part of a growing organization that is committed to helping others. The goal of the position is to raise funds and network with community organizations and businesses so that we can continue to provide support services to disadvantaged families and homeless individuals.

Fundraising responsibilities (the following is a list of possible activities for a volunteer but not an all inclusive list nor is any volunteer expected to fill all of these roles.)

  • Solicitations of corporate sponsors, financial gifts, and gift-in-kind donations.
  • Identify donor prospects and research donor prospects.
  • Data entry using Microsoft Access data base.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of a coordinated fundraising program.
  • Social Media, and networking , distribution of brochures to business community

Qualifications (required, desired):

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently as a leader
  • Available by phone and Internet.
  • No previous felony convictions: subject to criminal background check.

Time commitment: (hours/week; time of day) MinimumTwo hours per week;
flexible schedule, Tuesday - Saturday between 10:00am - 6:00pm

location: Resource Center Nampa and community networking - come in an visit us to see what we do.

Attire for Hire
Dressing professionally for an interview is really important.
Attire for Hire is dedicated to helping disadvantaged people prepare themselves for work. We provide quality professional clothing for job seekers entering, or returning to the workforce at no cost.

Computer Internet Access

The Community Builder resource center offers use of computers and free internet access to assit with online job search resources, including job search sites, job search engines, networking sites, online job search tools, and tips to ensure that you are using all the Internet job search resources available to help find a job online.

Resume Writing

Volunteers give their time to assist those who need help with creating, reviewing or updating a professional resume.
