The Utah Refugee VISTA project is seeking an Americorps VISTA member who is an innovative self-starter and motivated to empower the refugee women’s community. The Utah Refugee Services Office works to expand programs for refugees by strengthening current programs and creating new initiatives while empowering refugees individually.
Member Duties : The VISTA Member will participate in refugee women capacity building meetings and events; work with the women's services coordinator to develop programs and expand resources for the refugee women's committees; and develop curriculum for leadership forums and trainings. for more info go to https://my.americorps.gov/mp/listing/viewListing.do?id=64189&fromSearch=true

Description
The Refugee Services Office of Utah works with various partner agencies in Salt lake County, that provide refugee services, and Americorps VISTA to build the capacity of the local community. Americorps VISTAs provide one year of Non-direct services by building program capacity for long term sustainability.
