We rely on our AMAZING volunteers to make our programs happen! Help us change the lives of children & youth in our community today!
Camp Fire Alabama is actively recruiting student volunteers to assist with delivery of in-school programs for children and youth. Programs are offered in-schools to local K-12 classrooms through partnerships with educators and counselors in Birmingham City, Bessemer City, Jefferson County, and Shelby County School Systems.
Links-Up Mentoring - Small groups of elementary and middle school students meet weekly to learn and practice healthy behaviors and relationship skills.
Initial Training is provided.
Time commitment: No more than two (2) hours per week; this includes classroom instruction and ongoing training sessions. *Additional opportunities are available for students who wish to volunteer more than two hours per week.
**Regardless of your college major, volunteer experiences allow you to learn and develop skills that will enhance your resume and job marketability.

About Camp Fire Alabama
- Serves 11,000+ children, youth, and families annually in central Alabama.
- Programs are research-based, delivered where children, youth, and families are via in-school time, environmental and camp, and service and leadership programs, and volunteer opportunities.
